The Battle of Portland is the first single release off Ashera's upcoming album, Rob the Rich.

For 86 nights in a row since the murder of George Floyd, the Battle of Portland has raged as the community protests against police brutality and in support of Black Lives Matter. Local police and Trump's Gestapo have responded nightly with violent attacks including shooting, beating, charging and bully shoving, and gassing people with so much tear gas that it is difficult to breath in downtown Portland and the environmental damage is significant. Unmarked soldiers in unmarked cars arrest people and take them away, police are openly slashing people's tires and allowing heavily armed extremist right wing militias and gangs to violently harass protesters. But the community remains strong and resilient. The community continues to show up by the thousands to demand the defunding and dismantling of the Portland Police Bureau.
